The Church and Divine Revelation

Did Christ intend the Gospel to be proclaimed by the circulation of the Bible? — No; it was mainly by preaching that He intended to convert the nations.
Our Lord said: “Go, make disciples of all nations.” “Preach the Gospel to every creature.” “He that heareth you heareth me.” Christ did not say: “Go and make [...]

What is `Tradition’?
What Catholics mean by Tradition is not the same that Jesus complains about when he says, “So, for the sake of your tradition, you have made void the word of God.” (Mt 15:6) and “You leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men.” (Mk 7:8). I do it because the [Catholic Church] has not merely told this truth or that truth, but has revealed itself as a truth-telling thing. Redemption is offered to us in the sense that we have been given hope, trustworthy hope, by virtue of which we can face our present: [...]

ALTAR GIRLS?

The letter from Cardinal Antonio Javierre Ortas, prefect of the

Blessings on the Communion Line

This seems to be such a hot topic.
Why do people feel the need to get on the Communion Line to not recieve Communion but to get a blessing? If you want to “feel” a part of something then by all means stay in your seat (if unworthy to recieve) and make an Act of Spiritual Communion…
My Jesus,
I believe [...]

The residents of Heuersdorf Germany may have lost their village but they went to extrodinary lengths to save their church!
The 300 residents must move to allow miners to get at the coal beneath their houses in eastern Germany, a court has ruled, and neighbouring Borna has agreed to provide sanctuary to their 700-year-old church.
On Thursday, a [...]
